Sausalito, CA, March 1, 2015 – Bryton today announced the launch of two GPS cycling computers that – for the first time – combine pinnacle features with affordable prices.
The Rider 530 tracks rides in a default setting of every one second, yet has a 33-hour battery life, making for a rich and seamless route. The 530 also allows you to create rides on the device in three ways: from previous ride history; from a Plan Trip function in the new Bryton mobile App, and from third-party websites. Any website that allows .gpx downloads can be supported on the Ride 530, meaning that you can now get route details on your GPS cycling computer from such websites as Singletrack.com or Strava.
The 530 has an ample 2.6” display that shows up to 12 data grids at once, as well as an ANT+ auto sensor to pair with your existing power meter and heart rate monitor, and also supports via Bluetooth 4.0 incoming calls and texts. Crucially, given the depth of data in today’s cycling computers, the Rider 530 also is hassle free: no more calibrating or installing – the Bryton is wireless and has a Smart Start capability: simply mount the unit on your bars, turn it on, select your language, and go for a ride.
All data collected on the Rider 530 is collected and loaded to the cloud via WiFi, enabling Bryton to offer an unprecedented benefit: automatic and hands-free uploading to your Strava account. Once you finish your ride and are in range of any WiFi, the unit automatically uploads to Strava. The speed, precision altitude and software updates of WiFi comprise a revolutionary leap in GPS bike units.
The 530 maximizes training by offering customizable workouts across seven different aerobic zones and offers Follow Track, which helps you plan any ride anywhere in the world with maximized bicycle safety and enjoyment paramount.
Given all this, an expected MSRP of USD$300 would be expected, but the Bryton Rider 530 retails for just $179.95.

The Bryton Sport Rider 330 is similarly feature-rich, but is aimed more for mountain biking and priced at $129.95.
The Rider 330 display size is 1.8”, and – like the Rider 530 – has a digital compass available on-unit, as well as the same rich turn-by-turn Follow Track features, enabling riders to explore backcountry routes safely.
The 330 displays up to eight data unit on-screen, compared with the 12 of the Rider 530, but battery life is extended to 36 hours.
Like the Rider 530, the Rider 330 displays and supports 70+ functions, including speed, power, cadence, heart rate, distance, average speed, temperature, altitude, heading and features an Auto Start/Stop function to make your rides seamless.
The Rider 530 and Rider 330 round out the company’s existing line of advanced GPS cycling computers, which include the $70 Rider 100 and Rider 310 ($100).
